Yo, for the wall you did with Ichigo in this nicely rendered ghetto background, I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the image for the background. Was it a photo or a graphic design? I'm planning for my final art project to be a mix between photography and anime art, which i got the idea from your wall, but i needed to know if it was possible in the first place. This is why I needed to confirm if it was a photo or not. Are there any tips you could give me on trying to render the background and the anime characters to make it blend nicely like your wall. thanks for you help.
Thanks, it is indeed a real image, I have had it in a stock folder so long, I forget which free site it was from. My blending methods are complicated and I just kinda wing it... but one thing for sure is that I use dual layer renders. One right on top of the other, of the same image, then blue the top one, then go under blending options in your layer options, and choose multiply. This gives the render more depth and makes it blend nicely in reality images. After that, just play with colors, levels, and curves. BTW, the BG was done the same way... the original was bluish ..lol .. I chose the warm colors.
I'm looking forward to new walls!

Merry Christmas!
Thanks for checking up on me guys. I have been busy as shite. I do have a few projects in the works, but for the most part I have been busy with making my action figures, I just signed another contract with toyfare magazine and my deadline is coming up fast. I did however completly revamp my wallpaper site, and I just posted my a new wall. it was my first wall from back in the day too, figured I would see if it would pass in the gallery. Thanks for stoping in.
lols!
